Savannah is elegant and refined, yet secretive and seductive and steeped in southern charm. Savannah was the first colony of Georgia, founded in 1733 by General James Edward Oglethorpe and sits 17 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. It is the nation’s largest National Landmark Historic District, with its rich history, cobblestone streets, detailed ironwork, grand antebellum architecture, canopies of live oaks and hidden gardens. It is known as one of America’s first planned cities, originally laid out in twenty-four squares that are know as the “ Jewels of the City”. Savannah is also known for its fabulous food, art, music, parades and festivals. It is said to be one of the top ten most haunted cities in America, which makes for some interesting nightlife.
Pat Tuttle is a native Savannahian with a true love of Savannah and a real flair for showing her city to visitors. Pat is a licensed professional tour guide who is recognized as one of Savannah's most knowledgeable tour guides her knowledge of Savannah and the surrounding Low Country has proven to be an invaluable resource to guests visiting Savannah and the surrounding Low Country.
Pat has worked in the Hospitality Industry in Savannah for over 30 years. In 1992 Pat opened Hospitality Tours of Savannah. She began with one tour bus and by 1996 had a fleet of 7 buses and 13 employees plus a gift shop in the heart of the Historic District.
In 1996 Pat designed and began the first tour about the book “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” which put Savannah on the map. Pat’s tour company was featured in the Arts & Entertainment Special “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”, Southern living Magazine, on CNN, The Today Show, CBS News Sunday Morning, and the New York Times. Pat was awarded the Small Business Owner of the Year Award in 1997.
Chris Sergi is also a native Savannahian and has worked in Savannah’s hospitality industry, guided tours, coordinated events, tours and scavenger hunts throughout Savannah and the Low Country for over 20 years. Chris has been a licensed tour guide in Savannah since 1996. She studied history and art history at Armstrong State University and traditional and digital photography at the Oklahoma School of Photography.
She is a docent at the Andrew Low House, the Davenport House Museum and a historical interpreter at the Owens-Thomas House.
Chris is a professional photographer and has just had her first book “Savannah Scavenger Hunt” published by Pelican Publishing Company.
